Pennsylvania- After Team Member Zack lost his 11-year-old dog, team members from the restaurant came together to buy their friend a new puppy. Zack will not forget his old dog, but is excited about his new friend, Socks. Washington- Team Member Sami was helping her grandmother in September run the historical booth at Puyallup’s Western Washington State Fair. While Sami was working the booth, a pretty 5-year-old girl approached Sami. The little girl began to stroke Sami’s long hair and tell her how beautiful it was. Just then the young girl’s mother approached the booth, took the little girl by the hand and apologized to Sami. The mother went on to explain to Sami that her daughter had just been diagnosed with cancer. The little girl was about to begin radiation and chemotherapy treatments and was afraid of losing her hair. She also explained that her daughter was on the waiting list with the group “Locks of Love,” which provides donated hair to cancer victims. Sami’s heart opened wide as she decided to go to the salon the very next day and have 22 inches of her hair cut off in order to donate it to the little girl, which she did that very evening.
